Of all the years I've lived in Lake Oswego, I cannot believe I haven't been here until this evening. Fantastic food, excellent service.

I like this restaurant especially weekdays lunch menu comes with a cup of soup. It makes a huge difference for me to eat an entree with a cup of soup or without it especially rainy cold days. Service and taste both good.

Fantastic Mango sticky rice and pad Thai, with great service! I had a lovely time here.

Not special at all. The ingredients are mass-produced. Most dishes feature different combinations of the same ingredients. The entrees are definitely on the bland side, and the service staff seems overwhelmed and inexperienced.

Singha Thai has great food and excellent service. When we order a family meal for take-out it's ready within 20 minutes. The staff is very courteous and is ready to help you as soon as you walk in. The family I was with has been going to the restaurant for years and one of the ladies there still recognizes all the boys (now grown up) and asks about the family. The restaurant is quiet and casual inside. Food is delicious, I especially enjoy the pad thai, veggie stir fry and pineapple fried rice dishes. If you're looking for a local spot to get quick, tasty Thai, try Singha Thai!

Service is fast and friendly. The restaurant (and bathrooms) are clean. Always a hit with pad thai or, my favourite, the swimming rama with beef. And really reasonable and tasty lunch specials.

Food is good and the menu is vast. We eat here often. Their English is the only issue.

Really good Thai food. The service is also really good. If you are ordering take out some times you have to wait a bit, however, it is worth it. Exceptional Panang curry. It has a nice atmosphere if you want to eat in.

I always enjoy eating at this thai joint. The food is consistently good and staff is generally friendly and accommodating. I have eaten the wonton soup, ginger salmon, a few of the curries, and pad thai. Each dish was prepared well and served promptly. Once they gave me an extra scoop of rice when boxing my leftover curry, which I though was a nice gesture.

I love this place for lunch. They give you a free soup that is delicious too. Their Chicken Pad Thai is super yummy. I had their Chicken Panang Curry which was good too. I've also had thier veggie stirfry in Garlic sauce... so tasty. I haven't been disappointed yet!

i'm mixed up inside about this place. i ordered take-out and it only took 15 minutes for it to be ready to go. however -- i thought when they said 15 minutes they meant 25 so I went a little late and when I got home (which is a 3 minute drive) my food was pretty lukewarm. after a quick heat up things were good. the spring rolls are like popables -- bitesized and delish. however they come with a teeny-weeny thing of sauce so if you are a sauce-whore ask for double. i also got the pad-thai with one star and it still had a pretty good kick -- it was good for me but if you are a true mild-mannered-thai-lover it might be too much for you. not the greatest pad-thai but it was deec. i'd like to give this place another go on the dine-in side to see how it is.

I like their food but I am not very positive about their service. Once I was having dinner with my colleague and we were talking serious business and lost track of time. One of the server promptly came to us just before 9pm that we have to leave at 9pm as they have to close the restaurant!! I thought it was rude so afterward I never went there.

Best Thai food in LO. I eat here all the time. Very nice.

Love this place. It's never busy, so if you want a quiet evening dinner for 2 this is your place! Most people get take out and I can't understand why. Their food is amazing. I have been to Thailand (lived there for 2 years and back several times) and they have a ton of authentic dishes. It is far better than the average, run of the mill chain Thai restaurants and they will always prepare your food like you want it (made to order, leave out unwanted items, or add extras...customized). Their papaya salad (Som Yum?) and beef Yum, Yum are delish!! Brings back memories. I absolutely don't care for Pad Thai, so I never order it. Besides it is so over rated, when you can get far tastier and true Thai food, why have Pad? It wasn't found much in Thailand, except in the tourist districts. In other words, I don't think of Pad as Real Thai.... But Singha has so many wonderful, fresh, tasty dishes, I drool thinking about it. As for the whiners who were asked to leave, the workers have to go home too. Can't believe someone was upset enough to write that! Their sign clearly states their hours. Don't you want to go home after working/ I understand the owners needing to close up. Anyway, I would recommend they advertise more and remodel (get some new decor, paint and bring it into the 21st century). But the place is extremely clean and food is perfect. We love Singha and even though we never do take out...(what is the point?) we highly recommend, and order off their traditional Thai dishes for flavors of far away land I once called home!

I've had take out and dine in lunches here for the last couple of years and this place is the apitomy of the A-OK rating. Nothing has ever been bad but nothing has ever stood out. The Pad Thai is pretty bland, even when you order it spicy there's heat but not a ton of flavor. The Pad See Ew is pretty decent though and I like their Panang curry. The spring rolls are the size of tator tots which is kind of fun but you get a lot more roll than good stuff when comparing them to normal sized rolls. The service is good, the food is fine, and lunch is reasonably priced. So yea, its okay.

One my of my fave lunch spot for Thai food in Lake Oswego. Fast great service, great food and prices. I love their spicy beef noodles soup. I have been going there for 15 years and their service and food is still great! It can be hard to find parking during lunch hour as they have a small parking lot shared with a few businesses .

Was going to casa del pollo, which looked super yummy, but super small and had a wait. Ended up next door to here. From start to finish they treated us with the extra special care you love to have when dealing with kids. The word PATIENCE comes to mind. Changing orders mid-sentence... Obliging our special requests. Such as asking for the cup of wonton soup be split into two cups so our kids could try. THey could (should have, really) said no, but boom. Not one, but two cups for the price of one. The little one asked for chopsticks, seconds later, chopsticks for all. The lettuce wraps with chicken were fantastic. Meaty, with plenty of 'shrooms to smooth it out. Pad Thai was not dull and lifeless, but lively, bursting with cilantro, soy & lime sweetness. the squid, which my wife had, was nothing to Yelp about, but solid. The kicker was dessert. The food server said they were down to two remaining items--which I wonder if it was a mercy lob to help us get out of there (my kids really don't need to see ALL the choices)! Anyway, fancy grown-up style margarita glasses full of chocolate-laced coconut ice cream appear. Outstanding! only minutes later to be tipped over by my six-year old and broken. We feel awful. But Mr. foodserver brings us out a third portion, gratis, and placed before my forlorn child. Albeit in a bowl. Singha, I salute you!

We end up eating here quite a bit, often carry-out, as it is such easy walking distance from our house, but if not for that? I don't think we would go back. This place is... frustrating. It can be so VERY GOOD sometimes, and then the same thing ordered a week later and it's just...bleh. Even being very clear on spice levels - '4 out of 5' - you end up with something burn-your-face-off-hot one week, and so mild my mother could eat it without noticing it was supposed to be hot at all the next week. I don't get it - and it's annoying, because when they are on, they are ON. But I have not figured out how to tell in advance whether you'll be getting a great experience or not! One thing I will comment on that has been consistent - their fried appetizers (Calamari, Tofu, etc) are not that great. Stick with the main dishes, here!

I love this place. When I first moved to the area, I ate at the restaurant during dinner time. The food and service were great, but it was dead in the dining area. I saw way more people coming in straight to the cash register for takeout orders. The next time I wanted Thai, I decided to order something to go, and this place is perfect for that. I typically order a starter of salad rolls and get the red curry entree with brown rice (always a win if a Thai place offers brown rice). I've always ordered a few of their specials and those were also very good. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat, but would suggest ordering to go unless you are looking for a quieter atmosphere.

Been looking for a good local thai joint. Decided to try it out. Quite disappointed. Service is fine. Location is fine. The flavors just were not there. Tried the spring rolls. Tiny 2 inch rolls that are all deep fry and almost no filling. The pad thai, pad see lew, and kad kaprow were all disappointing. The portions are large but the flavor just wasn't right. You usually can't go wrong with kaprow thai style but this once was made the ?oyster? sauce and way too much of it. The prices are also on the higher end...

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the southern burbs, and I've been going there for many years. There are some better ones downtown, but really no complaints about Singha Thai. Friendly staff, very nice (and unusual) ambiance, the food is above average, and prices are pretty good. Last time I was there they badly messed up my order (over-charged me by a lot) but really that's the first time anything like that has happened, so I forgive. I'll certainly be back.

I love, love, LOVE this place! I have had fabulous food there for both lunch and dinner! My favorite dish is Dancing String Beans but the Pad Thai is great and the Tom Kha soup is to die for!
(5)Shawn S.
Really, I show up for my takeout order. You realize you gave it to someone else. You make me wait 25 min for them to drive it back. You the hand it to me like it is no big deal and want full price? No offer to remake it, or reduce the price for my trouble. This is the worst customer service ever.

Don't bother....too many other delicious Thai restaurants to choose from in the area. The wait staff could use some hospitality lessons.

My friend and I had a fabulous dinner here! We were delayed and arrived late, and I am a slow eater. We didn't order until nearly 8:30. They brought our food proptly, and kept our wine glasses full. The food was not hot and spicy, like we ordered it, so the server enthusiastically brought us a collection of jars of spices that we could add to our dishes. It was so fabulous! He showed us which spices were good with which foods, and encouraged us to try things. The food is top notch. We also were still eating after they turned off the open sign, and turned out the lobby lights. They allowed us to eat our meal in peace, and did not ever make us feel rushed. They were polite and kind to us. When we finally left, we went to another place for some drinks, and I realized I had left my phone at Singha Thai. We drove back, and knocked on the door, and eventually our server came out with my phone and a big smile! I thanked him and apologized profusely, and he gave me a hug. Top notch, friendly and fun service and great food. Highly recommend!

We were visiting from out of town and were taken to this restaurant by some local family members who are regulars and had chosen it for a birthday celebration. Although it was a Saturday night, there were very few people there, so our party of six were extremely well taken care of. The lemongrass pumpkin soup was very good, as well as the calamari appetizer. We had a mix of vegetarian & non-vegetarian dishes that were all delicious, with the vegetable ingredients perfectly cooked & still crisp. The special salmon dish served over rice pad Thai type noodles was excellent, as was the actual pad Thai. An overall great eating experience in a little strip mall restaurant.

Best thai in Portland! Great service. Food tastes wonderful, is good for your body, and looks beautiful on the plate. Reasonable prices: I can get Cashew Delight and Jasmine tea for $10. I love this place!

close to campus, off-street parking, and quick service. what more can you ask for? their portions are pretty big, and they have your standard thai fare. i usually get a thai iced tea, veggie eggrolls, and the pad see ew.

Being that I work in Lake O., I often like to try the different restaurants in the area for lunch. Several co-workers ordered from Singha last Friday, at the recommendation of one of our officemates, who loves this place. Since I brought lunch that day, I did not fully-participate. This did not stop me from resisting the offers of sampling my workmates' lunches, however. What goodness! I especially enjoyed the Larb Gai, a "salad" made with ground chicken breast, chilis, lime, fish sauce, green and red onions and cilantro, served with lettuce. After doing further research on this dish, I learned that it is a traditional "meat salad" of Laos. Delicious. It is very flavorful, on the semi-salty side, due to the fish sauce marinade, no doubt. This restaurant has since become a favorite of of my co-workers, and I can see why. The food is flavorful and delicious. The restaurant itself is nice. It has an adorable ambience. Kind of 90s in it's decor, but well-kept and very cozy/cute. The service is also very friendly. If I did not live all the way in Portland, I would surely bring my man here for lunch or dinner on the weekend. Since that is not feasible, I will be more than delighted to order a yummy lunch from here on a weekday.

Lots of great choices. I love the pineapple fried rice & the crab won tons. Low key environment and a very nice place for a date.

Having just moved to Lake Oswego, I've been on the lookout for a good place to do takeout. Having tried Singha Thai Restaurant for the first time, I think I'll have to keep looking. The prices were pretty high for their dinner items, 3 things came to $30. The Shrimp Pad Thai had the clear sauce and was pretty bland. Even though the shrimp were large, they were barely cooked, giving us worries of food poisoning. The yellow curry had lumps of mushy potatoes and the chow mein beef was stringy and tough. I did like that they asked how hot you liked your food, so you could customize it to your desired level of spiciness. My biggest pet peeve? They didn't give me any chili paste, soy sauce, napkins, or silverware with my order. I didn't think to ask because I just assumed they knew that someone who is ordering takeout might want the bag to contain everything needed to actually eat the food that you're given. Definitely not going back there again. The search continues.

Boring. Went for lunch today with a coworker. Both our dishes were very bland. Lots of celery. Pretty sure celery does not belong in Thai food.

Pad Thai for 7.50 . . . Good deal, ok food.

I can't add too much more embellishment to the reviews already written. I've lived in Lake O for about twelve years and have been going to this place as long as I can remember. I really enjoy this place. Unlike some of the reviewers, I have never experienced bad service here. It's never crowded and the food is great! I am a big fan of Tom Yum and they do a great job of it!

Having lived in Lake O for the past 7 years, I've frequented Singha Thai a few times and have never been terribly impressed with the food ... until now. A direct mail "2 for 1" coupon drove me to try this place again, and I'm so glad I did. Hubby and I went here for dinner on New Year's Eve, and as usual, there were only a few other people in the restaurant (why this place isn't busier, I have no idea. perhaps they do a large takeout business) We were seated quickly, orders were taken quickly, and the timing of the appetizer (chicken satay, which was delicious) and our entrees was just right. We ordered a #25 (Cashew Delight) and a #28 (Phad Kaprau) and were highly impressed with the taste and freshness of the ingredients. It made us wonder, what the hell have we been doing going to Thai Orchid all this time?

update. so after my glowing review just gotta say the next morning i was throwing up at work (and no im not pregnant) it was defiantly the only thing i ate that night, so i can narrow it down pretty fast. still two stars though cause it tasted pretty good going down.
